A little something for Sunday...

"I believe in Christ—my Lord, my God!
My feet he plants on gospel sod.
I’ll worship him with all my might;
He is the source of truth and light.
I believe in Christ; he ransoms me.
From Satan’s grasp he sets me free,
And I shall live with joy and love
In his eternal courts above.

I believe in Christ; he stands supreme!
From him I’ll gain my fondest dream;
And while I strive through grief and pain,
His voice is heard: “Ye shall obtain.”
I believe in Christ; so come what may,
With him I’ll stand in that great day
When on this earth he comes again
To rule among the sons of men."

The Idaho Falls temple visitor's center has the "Reflections of Christ" displayed from now through April. I didn't know what the "Reflections of Christ" even was until Drew mentioned he wanted to go check it out. For those of you who don't know, basically it is just a collection of photographs that illustrate Jesus Christ's life. The pictures are all absolutely stunning. On Friday night, Drew and I had the chance to head down to Idaho Falls and check it out. Seeing all those pictures really made me reflect on Jesus Christ and the influence he has had in my life. I'm so grateful for his atoning sacrifice. I know Christ suffered for me individually. I know he loves and cares for me more than I even understand. Because he suffered and died for me, He understands everything I feel or go through in life. I'm so grateful for Jesus Christ. I know He lives. "I Believe in Christ."
Here are some of my favorite photographs from the "Reflections of Christ" exhibit:

Update on me!!!

Wow, 5 months since my last post. I am not a blogger. Can you believe all the things that have happened since the last blog?
- Started school at BYU-Idaho
- My brothers came home from their missions
- My sister and brother got married, but not to each other thankfully.
- Another semester started at BYU-Idaho.
- I started dating Mr. Wright. No really, he is Mr. Wright, I wouldn't lie about this.

Yesterday I had a interesting experience at Red Robin, my favorite place to eat. Mr. Wright and I went to dinner with Lindsay and Travis in Idaho Falls. Whenever I go there, I like to get a bacon cheeseburger, but without cheese, no pickles, no onions, and no tomatoes. Well when I told the waitress what I wanted, Drew (that's Mr. Wright's first name) jokingly said, "You better just give it to her plain." We laughed, and were pretty sure she knew we were kidding. Well she didn't catch on. I got a bun, burger, bacon, and that was it. No sauce, no lettuce, and Drew felt terrible. But it ended up being tons of fun, and I was grateful that we could laugh about it.

This little boy's pants kept falling off, no matter how many times Drew would pull them up for him. It was so cute!!

The Countdown Begins...

COLLEGE IS SO CLOSE, I CAN SEE IT! I leave for BYU-I (do) on Sept. 5th! I kinda want to fast forward my life to that date. I have been ready and waiting for the moment i can go to college for a year! I now have my associates degree, an apartment, an awesome roommate, and a class schedule... so i am READY! (That's about all i can think about, which is why i started my post off with that.) I CAN'T WAIT! :)

I also just realized that i haven't blogged in a while. I guess i have been really, super busy. Lame excuse, i know.. but its the truth. A lot has happened since my last post, so i guess i will just do a quick recap:

UNCLE DARRELL CAME TO VISIT:

I just LOVE my uncle Darrell. For those of you who don't know him, he is my dad's youngest brother and he is mentally handicapped. For the past couple summers he has come and spent a week with us. He is so fun and happy. His favorite things are: flashlights, swimming (well water in general), bubbles, airplanes, and wind-up toys. One of the nights he was here we had FHE at Howard Amon Park. It was fun to see him!

GRADUATION:

Hard to believe.. maybe.. BUT YES i graduated! I actually graduated both Richland High School and Columbia Basin College (with my associates) Within two weeks of each other. It was GREAT! After 13 long years of school i was finally done, well for a couple months. I only went to one of the ceremonies because for my CBC graduation i was in Florida at Disney World. We went to Olive Garden for dinner then on the the ceremony. Mark, Cindy and Greg Bowden came down from Seattle to see me, which was great. Darrell was still here on his "vacation" so he came too. It was really great!

DISNEY WORLD:

Those two words say everything! It was AWESOME! we had SO much fun as a family. We went to Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Magic Kingdom, twice :), and Hollywood Studios. The Humidity in Florida just about killed me. I felt like i couldn't breathe when i got off the plane. BUT, you eventually get used to it, and if i ever lived there, i would NEVER have dry skin again. We walked A LOT and rode a bunch of rides! Lindsay's Boyfriend Travis actually got to come down for the weekend. It was fun to see and hang out with him. I think that was Lindsay's Favorite part. I have WAY to many pictures.. and this post is already HUGE.. so i will just post a few. But the vacation was INCREDIBLE! i loved every minute!

As of  lately, i have been working full time. Its a lot of hours.. but i NEED the money for school. Life has been great! no complaints really. I like my job, and i love my family. Until college, i will keep working hard and earning money. College can't come soon enough... everyone keeps telling me how much fun i am going to have.. but i just can't wait to go out and experience it for myself. I know it is where i am supposed to be and it will be an awesome experience.

Random Thoughts of Me...

Since i am such a random person, here are some of my random thoughts just this morning, and its only 8:00. :)
  • I hate that all the other seniors are asleep right now. Because i chose to do running start, CBC lasts a week and a half longer than Richland. I know that in the long run this will benefit me, but right now i really just want to be DONE!
  • I need to learn how to put eye liner on correctly. I tried to put it on this morning, and i realized that i have no idea how to do it. any takers to teach me?
  • CBC had some very interesting people. I am sitting at a table listening to the people in front of me, haha. Very Entertaining!
  • I really want to go buy some French Fries and Chocolate Milk, but is it socially acceptable to buy French Fries and Chocolate Milk at 8:00 in the morning?
  • Today is June 7th. It should NOT be cold outside. It should NOT be raining and it should NOT be so gloomy and sad! Where is the Sunshine?
  • I hate when you spend money on getting your nails done, and they chip the day after or a couple days after. i feel like my fingers look trashy. i feel like people are staring at my fingers because they look so terrible.
  • I Wish June 15th would come when i snap my fingers then i can be done with school and it would be summer time!
  • I am so thankful for the gospel in my life. i honestly don't know where i would be without it. I think i am truly happy today because i go to church and try my best to follow Christ.
  • I love my family. We  have arguments, but we always make up, because we love each other.
  • I am a little sad i didn't get to watch the Celtics play last night! it would have been such a great game! Ray Allen with a new Record on 3 pointers. Dang. I am for sure watching on Tuesday night!
Well, those are probably enough random thoughts for the day. :)

Bike Riding...

Sometimes I do random things and buy random things. Not very often. But when I do buy things... a lot of times its pretty random. So just recently i bought a new bike. My dad and i went to Wally-World and we were looking at all the bikes and we saw a few. some of them are pretty expensive, even at Walmart. So we were trying to look for cheap but pretty good quality and we finally found some. However, the "adult" bikes were too tall for me. So lucky for me, the "girl" bikes were just the right size and cheaper too. :) here she is...
She is pretty good looking huh? i decided i should take advantage of my new way of transportation.. so i have used her a few times, but not consistently. Today however, i took her out for a ride. We went about 10 miles from Richland to Pasco and back. I crossed over the Columbia River and i stopped on the bridge and took a few pictures..

Beautiful isn't it? Great bike ride.. my booty is a little sore though... but it was worth it. :)
